Battle royale multiplayer shooter PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds will receive two new skins that are leaving fans excited and confused, depending on who you ask. DC Comics’ Harley Quinn and Joker are coming to PUBG with their Suicide Squad renditions.
DC and PUBG developer PUBG Corp first announced the new skins last night with an official trailer showcasing Joker and Harley in action. Calling the two characters “your favorite Suicide Squad heroes,” PUBG went on to tease that both characters will arrive “soon” to the game. As for a specific date or timeline, that remains unclear.
Fans quickly took to Twitter with complaints about the Joker’s appearance. While Harley looks polished, sleek, and just like her Suicide Squad variant, Jared Leto’s Joker looks incredibly bland. It’s like PUBG Corp simply reskinned a pre-existing character model in Paint and shipped the skin out as an official look. PUBG fans had some choice words over his appearance, to say the least.
Overall, the fact that it’s Leto’s version of the Joker seems to upset fans.

Some fans pointed to an ongoing problem with PUBG: while its developers promise to fix the game, new microtransactions are slipping in left and right while bugs and optimization issues plague the game. Some worry the company is more concerned with making money than developing an enjoyable gaming experience.

Can’t wait for you to overcharge this and not fix the game.

All that work and you couldn’t even add a decent walk animation.

Others were just happy to have Joker and Harley as playable characters.

And of course, a few folks compared the decision to Fortnite. After all, Marvel’s Thanos appeared in the game’s “Infinity Guantlet Limited Time Mashup” mode to coincide with Avengers: Infinity War. Just a few months later, it makes sense PUBG would try to bring the DC universe into its own game, albeit with mixed results.
