Nintendo didn’t highlight a new deluxe version of Mario Kart 8 at its Switch press event on Thursday night, but it did drop a new trailer on YouTube.
In addition to all of the characters and tracks you enjoyed on the Wii U version of the game, the deluxe edition adds new characters, including Inkling Girl and Inkling Boy from Splatoon, King Boo, Dry Bones, and Bowser Jr.
Nintendo updated the Battle mode for the game, adding Balloon Battle and Bob-omb Blast with new courses.
Back by popular demand is the ability for players to carry two items instead of just one, and previously popular items like the item-stealing ghost Boo and the feather will appear in the game. There will also be a Smart Steering feature to make intense 200cc racing easier for newbies and kids.
Mario Kart 8 Deluxe launches in April.
