DeMarco is absolutely aware of his own memeworthiness, by the way. He’s done viral stunts like covering a Limp Bizkit song and pranking a bandmate with a giant billboard of his own face. Last month, his fan club (run by his mom) put out a call for an assistant well-versed in dank memes. No word on whether they’ve found the right person, but the way “listens to Mac DeMarco once” is blowing up right now, there’s certainly no shortage of candidates.
