Futurama lovers can anticipate a fan film that has turned the beloved animated TV show into a realistic, bizarre-looking, live-action production. Cinema Relics Productions has the trailer for the new movie, Fan-O-Rama.

For those who have always wanted to know what their favorite Futurama characters would look like as real people, the new film doesn’t mess around. The actors have been transformed to look alarmingly realistic to their animated form, in a way that is both familiar and strange. From Leela’s cycloptic eye to Professor Farnsworth’s wrinkly, egg-shaped head, the details are impressive.

The film appears to maintain the sci-fi comedy’s flippant humor and satirical depiction amid a plot that involves a mission to get “the sweet elixir of life” while avoiding the space pirates. The trailer does not specify an exact release date for the film, but promises that it’s this summer. You can chart that progress on the Fan-O-Rama website.

So what is Fan-O-Rama even rated?

A new (fake) category called “Q for Questionable,” which has been indicated to mean that “audiences will no doubt question the creator’s motives, self-respect, and sanity,” along with the “mandatory” experience of mental or emotional anguish while viewing. After watching the preview, this may not be entirely wrong.

Alongside the trending Pokémon Go app and the hotly anticipated release of Harry Potter and the Cursed Child, the live-action fan film will fit right into the summer of exploding fandoms. And members of the underrated, enduring Futurama fandom will soon have a new obsession of their own.
