Hellish ‘Lego Movie’ remix is the stuff of nightmares

We shouldn’t be surprised that this Lego Movie remix works so well. It really only makes sense that everyone’s favorite non-Oscar winner is actually a terrifying horror film in disguise. 

YouTuber Andrew Olszewski’s impressive parody highlights all the ways in which the original movie was already playing on horror tropes. After all, the movie starts with a pretty forward straightforward hellish dystopia. Even if “Everything is Awesome” is fun and catchy, life for our heroes is anything but.

Still, as Olszewski shows us, it could have been so much worse.

Thanks, YouTube. That Hello Kitty face is going to haunt our nightmares.
