Kylie Jenner received backlash after posting an Instagram video revealing her $450 Louis Vuitton chopsticks amid the coronavirus pandemic.
In the video posted Monday, the 22-year-old wrote, “gotta start traveling with these.” Commenters scolded Jenner for sharing the pricey utensils instead of promoting aid for the coronavirus pandemic.
“We’re on low supplies of medical equipment and companies can’t afford to help people,” Amanda or @amhaze4prez tweeted yesterday. “And meanwhile Kylie Jenner just posted a video of Louis Vuitton chopsticks. Eat. The. Rich.”
Others tweeted that by posting the video, Jenner mocked the underprivileged.
Jenner addressed the coronavirus in a video on March 20, where she urged her followers to practice social distancing. She said the coronavirus “is a real thing.”
Jenner posted on Instagram Monday that she is “missing social time.”
“The faster we stay inside the faster we can get back to it,” she wrote on Instagram. “I hope everyone is taking social distancing serious.”
Jenner’s team did not immediately respond to the Daily Dot’s request for comment.
