Last night, Republican Karen Handel defeated Democrat Jon Ossoff in a special election to replace Health and Human Services Secretary Tom Price in Georgia’s 6th District.
What you took of it really depends on your affiliation. It could either be an affirmation that President Donald Trump‘s #MAGA policies are still strongly supported by his base, despite an unceasing amount of noise around his administration, or it’s proof that because a Democrat nearly won in the deep South, the Republican red wall is beginning to crumble.
But who needs incisive analysis when you can send petty tweets? After the race was declared for Handel, Trump adviser Kellyanne Conway hit send on this.
Laughing my #Ossoff

It’s a pun! It’s a somewhat PG-13 pun! Is it good? Is it bad? Is it classless? Is it hilarious? Well, your stance on Conway’s tweet pretty much coincides with your stance on the Ossoff-Handel race. The right loved it; the left hated it.
You are proud that the anti-gay candidate won? Once again Kellyanne, thank you for showing women all over what its like not to be empowered.

That’s because you’re a vile, scornful woman.

In the grand scheme of things? It was an alright tweet.
