The size of this boat is just right for a 2-month-old shark hunter.

Joseph Reginella, a sculptor based in Staten Island, is a huge fan of Jaws. After making an airplane bed for the company he works for, he had the idea of making a “terrifying bed instead of something cute” for a child to sleep in. Soon after, Reginella’s friend told him that he and his wife were having a boy, which presented a perfect opportunity.

At 2 months old, Michael Joseph Melaccio is finally the right size for the crib, and based off the photo that went viral, it doesn’t look like he’s having much fun.

Either way, we’re feeling pretty inadequate about the cribs we slept in as babies right about now.

Despite initial appearances, Melaccio seemed to warm up to the crib. Hopefully he’ll have plenty of sweet dreams as he rests precariously inside the toothy mouth.

Of course, in no time at all the newborn will need a bigger boat—or rather, a bed. We can only imagine what Reginella’s got planned next.
