President Donald Trump’s latest Twitter gaffe came on Wednesday, delighting thousands on the social media network by mistyping Attorney General Jeff Sessions’ name—dropping the last letter.
The blunder happened as the president pondered why the Obama administration was not the subject of the ongoing investigation into Russian interference during the 2016 presidential election. “Ask Jeff Session!” he exclaimed.
The tweet itself represents something quite serious, as the president is publicly berating Sessions over the Russia probe to his 48 million Twitter followers.
It’s not the first time that this has happened. When Sessions recused himself from investigating issues related to Russian interference, after he failed to disclose meetings with a Russian ambassador, the president accused the attorney general of being “very weak” on previous Democrat presidential rival Hillary Clinton over her use of a private email server while in office.
With a mere typo, however, the point was lost and it quickly became meme material.
Damn, he deleted the “Jeff Session” tweet and sent out a corrected one.

Some poor guy named Jeff Session, who probably owns a hardware store in Oregon, is about to be flooded with calls from the nation’s assignment editors.

Jeff Session said he could not recall so many times, they shortened his name so it was easier to remember.
