A marijuana rally on 4/20 is always going to yield some interesting characters, and the folks at Aussie pop culture website Pedestrian struck gold.
This clip from a pro-weed rally at Sydney Town Hall opens with a man getting arrested for sparking up in front of the building. The reporter speaks to others in the crowd about the arrest and the legality of the search. Then they find the guy at the 1:20 mark.
He reveals he came to the rally because he thought he could buy weed there, questions why cigarettes are legal and pot isn’t, and takes aim at the police presence: “As soon as these cunts leave, I’m gonna light up a joint.”
His 4/20 celebration strategy?
“I’ve been celebrating all morning, since I woke up.”
