Harry Potter‘s childhood home is up for sale.
The beautiful old house, filmed as the place Harry lived before Voldemort killed his parents, graced the big screens in Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows. Looming opposite a graveyard, the Potter home in Godric’s Hollow was impressive, but somewhat of an afterthought considering it is mostly destroyed and a snake in a woman suit was stalking Harry and Hermione next door.
The real-life version is much more stunning than the one seen on-screen. The price tag on it is pretty staggering too, but if you have upwards of a million dollars to spend, I bet this place would do great on Airbnb.
Listed on the Carter Jones Realty website, the house in Suffolk, England, is described as “one of the most important & historically significant Grade I listed houses in sought-after Lavenham with stunning period features, lovely south facing gardens of about 0.39 acres, outbuildings & parking.”
The 3,000-square-foot home is listed at £995,000, which translates to a whopping $1,168,771.77. It looks to be well worth it, though, as long as you are willing to brave the dark wizards who might come knocking.
