Fans old and new have discovered whole new side of the world of Harry Potter thanks to new illustrated editions from British artist Jim Kay. Now he’s leading us into the next chapter of Harry’s time at Hogwarts.
The illustrated edition of Sorcerer’s Stone came out last year, and as we get closer to the publication of Chamber of Secrets, Bloomsbury—the U.K. publisher of the Harry Potter series—released a gorgeous trailer previewing some of the art that will appear with the book’s pages. It’s essentially the same illustrations Pottermore put out in March, but there’s still something magical about seeing Mandrakes and Fawkes come to life. A vote of confidence from J.K. Rowling herself is always a bonus.
The illustrated edition of Chamber of Secrets will be released Oct. 4.
