It’s not his first typo.

Donald Trump Jr. weed joke

Donald Trump Jr. tried bashing the press on Twitter and ended up making an accidental weed joke about America’s demise.

On Thursday, Trump Jr. replied to a tweet from NBC News’ Andrea Mitchell that asked how the White House could justify releasing the controversial Nunes memo, which alleges improper surveillance of Trump’s 2016 campaign by the FBI, as its release was heavily opposed by the FBI and the Justice Department.

Trump clapped back, tweeting: “Apparently the press only likes their information ‘leaked’ from unverified sources rather than released openly from congress… I think it will be tough for them to sell their ‘democracy dies in dankness’ byline with this kind of logic.”

Trump Jr. should check his logic—and spelling—before coming for the press. “America Dies in Darkness,” isn’t the Washington Post’s “byline,” but rather its slogan, which was reportedly coined by legendary reporter Bob Woodward. And it may not say “dankness,” but it’s still pretty dank considering who it came from.

Twitter, of course, did not hold back and unleashed a fury of replies to Trump Jr.’s typo.

The Washington Post’s Reddit account even changed its page bio to include “dankness.”

In Trump Jr.’s defense, America’s demise via cloud of smoke is not out of the realm of possibility in light of President Donald Trump’s big button. But for now, everyone should just chill and hope that never happens.
