It’s the longest 48 seconds in history.

An obsessive Whovian has just brought us one step closer to visualizing what “wibbly-wobbly-timey-wimey” actually looks like with an incredible video of the TARDIS going through a wormhole.

A fan named calling himself John Smith loves Doctor Who so much he has an entire YouTube channel devoted to creating mindblowing fan films based around the series—everything from short horror films to the “Wholock” segment of Superwholock

He especially loves the TARDIS, as evidenced by two previous visual effects videos that feature the blue phone box just doing its thing:

But it’s the most recent that’s the most mindblowing—a video in which the TARDIS dematerializes in the middle of the street, flies through an epic wormhole, and then rematerializes somewhere new. Not only are the graphics more intense, but the wibbly-wobbly is pretty hardcore.

Smith called the video “my attempt at capturing what travelling through time and space might look like from the point of view of the TARDIS—from take-off to landing, all in one shot.”

How do you think he did? We think he’s given the actual visual effects crew at the BBC a run for their money.

With all the talk about the next Doctor being a lady, maybe it’s time to upgrade the TARDIS’s flight path as well?
