It seemed like nothing could go wrong for the New England Patriots on Sunday evening. The team had just crushed the Indianapolis Colts in a landslide 45-7 victory, clinched the AFC Championship, and were preparing to face the Seattle Seahawks in the Super Bowl. But mere hours after their overwhelming victory, rumors about deflated balls and cheating began to spread.
Almost immediately, Twitter users coined the hashtags #deflategate and #ballghazi, and the NFL announced that it would look into the allegations of intentional underinflation by the Patriots. While the league is still investigating how 11 of the 12 Patriots’ balls became underinflated after passing inspection by referee Walt Anderson—and while the consequences have yet to be announced—we’ve got some comedy to tide us over.
The Cialis spoof so good it should be on Saturday Night Live comes to us from the sports comedy website Benstonium. If the Patriots follow this prescription for Cialis Inflate-a-Ball, they might just avoid hefty fines and the loss of draft picks. Who knows, these under-inflating underachievers might even be able to clinch a sixth Super Bowl win, too.
