Amidst all the hype for Gotham, The Flash and Agent Carter, you can be forgiven for forgetting there’s a Daredevil show in the works as well.
The Daredevil series is going to be on Netflix, followed by individual shows for Marvel superheroes Jessica Jones, Luke “Power Man” Cage, and Iron Fist, and then an Avengers-style team-up with all four characters, titled Defenders. The first series won’t premiere until summer 2015, but Daredevil showrunner Steven DeKnight has begun to share a few details on Twitter.
No one. RT @cameronstear: Who’s going to be playing Bullseye in the Marvel Netflix Daredevil? Please reply or give me a hint Steven?

Can’t have DD without the C. RT @Lumetian: @stevendeknight Is Murdock’s Catholicism a big part of his character in this series?
— Steven DeKnight (@stevendeknight) November 2, 2014
Punisher, Spider-Man, Wilber Day. RT @Marvel_CMU: if you could have any character from the Marvel films in Daredevil, who would it be?
— Steven DeKnight (@stevendeknight) November 3, 2014
No. DD not R/NC-17. But will be gritty. RT @bayoknight: @stevendeknight @rollie is the action going to be as graphic as spartacus
— Steven DeKnight (@stevendeknight) November 2, 2014
French Connection, Dog Day Afternoon, etc. RT @Lumetian: Using any classic films as inspiration for the new series, or just comics?
— Steven DeKnight (@stevendeknight) November 2, 2014
Or not sharing any information, depending on the question.
Can’t say. Must watch. But RT @RuhailAli: Are you allowed to tell us whether or not the iconic red suit will appear on the show?
— Steven DeKnight (@stevendeknight) November 2, 2014
No idea. But show is pretty damn awesome. RT @LionelFla: Hi, when can we expect a trailer for @marvel @netflix @Daredevil ?
— Steven DeKnight (@stevendeknight) November 2, 2014
Since Daredevil and the rest of the Defenders shows are Marvel Studios properties, they’ll be sure to tie in with the rest of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Unfortunately Marvel tends to keep a tight lid on spoilers, so DeKnight was cagey about how Daredevil would link to other movies and TV shows. However, he did assure a fan that there will definitely be several easter eggs in the show.
Quite a few if you watch carefully. RT @pottertardis: @stevendeknight how many easter eggs will we find in daredevil ?

Daredevil’s release date hasn’t officially been announced, but it’s likely to be in May 2015. That means it will overlap with the release date for Avengers: Age of Ultron, and may include some kind of crossover event like with Captain America: The Winter Soldier and Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. Could Daredevil wind up with a spoiler warning for a movie that’s still in theaters?
