News flash: Really, really, ridiculously good-looking people often have really, really, ridiculously good-looking parents. It’s called genetics.

But Chris Hemsworth’s Instagram followers are still champing at the bit to fawn over his father after the Thor actor posted a throwback shot of his dad in short shorts to celebrate Father’s Day in Australia on Sunday.

The caption on the image is pretty sweet, thanking dear old Dad for “taking me surfing every weekend and driving me to football training and athletics training and to friends houses and anywhere and everywhere” before turning sentimental and appreciating Craig Hemsworth “for loving mum and us kids so much.” But that didn’t stop commenters from pouncing on the Hemsworth DILF:

“Love the short shorts of the 80s,” wrote one. “Guns [were] genetic then!” chirped another. “Daddy’s a hottie, like father like sons” preceded a winking face. Heart-eyes emoji abound.

It’s not the first time Craig Hemsworth has been under scrutiny for his attractiveness. The Cut published an “investigation” of photographic evidence of the family’s considerable victories in the genetic lottery.

As for the Father’s Day post, the rest of the comments—spam and international interjections aside—are evenly split between panic over missing Father’s Day (celebrated on the first Sunday of September down under but in June in the U.S.) and encouraging Chris to shave his beard.

You know, the important things.
