After three seasons of haunts and frights in Greendale, the upcoming fourth season of The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina will be its last—but fans are already brainstorming potential spinoff ideas.

The announcement arrived late Wednesday as The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina shared a first look at the final chapter on Twitter, teasing that “Our final chapter is coming later this year.”

According to showrunner Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa, he, the cast, and the crew were able to tell the story that they wanted to tell with Sabrina’s four parts.

“Working on Chilling Adventures of Sabrina has been an incredible honor from day one,” Aguirre-Sacasa said in a statement. “The cast, beginning with Kiernan as everyone’s favorite teen witch, has been an absolute joy. I am beyond thankful to the crew, writers, editors, assistants, and everyone for pouring so much love into this dark dream of a show. I’m also grateful to our partners at Netflix, Warner Bros., Berlanti Television and Archie Comics for letting us tell the story we wanted to tell, the way we wanted to tell it. We can’t wait for everyone to see Part Four.”

The third season of The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina, which debuted in January, included trips to Hell and Sabrina’s (Kieran Shipka) fight for control, time travel, and oncoming doom set for Greendale. We’re still a ways off from seeing how the show ties everything together, but if there were to ever be a spinoff for The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina, they know exactly who it should focus on, Ambrose (Chance Perdomo) and Prudence (Tati Gabrielle).

Ambrose and Prudence were major characters from the start; they’re also two of Sabrina’s most prominent Black characters. Ambrose was Sabrina’s cousin who started off on house arrest while Prudence, a fellow witch, was a rival of Sabrina’s; while she’s positioned as a villain, some fans used the recent Actual Villains meme to highlight Sabrina as the true villain of the show. They’re both fan favorites, and in season 3, they were in a relationship.

It’s unclear if Ambrose and Prudence will survive the carnage that’s heading toward Greendale—a lot of it a product of Sabrina’s own making or if their characters would be in any position to star in a spinoff. But the end of season 3 introduced a time paradox, so if there’s any way to potentially pull it off, The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina could do it.
