This bus driver apparently loves watching YouTube videos so much that he lost his job over it—because he was viewing clips while ferrying passengers down a New York highway.
According to the New York Post, the unidentified bus driver for Tour America was streaming clips of Mrs. Doubtfire and browsing other videos as he was driving last week.
“Honestly, I wanted to get up and kill him,” one passenger told the Post. “He was putting my life, my wife’s life, and the lives of 52 other people on the bus at risk. I was so, so angry.”
The passenger, Barry Fisk, said he considered telling the driver to stop but his wife said a confrontation might make the situation worse. At one point, Fisk said the driver put in an earpiece to hear the videos he was playing.
“My wife is not a very good traveler,” Fisk said. “She said it’ll make it worse. I said, ‘It can’t be worse, the guy’s not in control of the vehicle.’ It was so blatant … My wife almost had a panic attack. When we took the return trip back, she asked me if it was the same driver and I lied to her to get her back on the bus. She’s not a good traveler, but this guy was going all over the road, too. It was a bad journey.”
Here’s a snippet of the video Fisk shot.
