When you think about the 2015 portrayed in Back to the Future Part II, the hoverboard and self-lacing shoes might be the first things to pop into your mind. But have you forgotten about a certain futuristic fashion trend? The kids of the future were all wearing their pants inside out. If a new Kickstarter campaign gets funded, you might soon be able to comfortably do the same thing, .
Ross O’Mullane apparently tried on inside-out pants and discovered that they weren’t so great because he couldn’t “access the pockets, the fly or the belt loops.” So he decided to create Outties, his own inside-out jeans inspired by Back to the Future.
“Outties are an awesome and outrageous pair of jeans that only look like they’re inside-out,” he wrote on his Kickstarter page. “Here’s where the jeanius comes in, we have taken all the modern features of wearing your pants inside out, and made the pockets, fly, and belt loops accessible. They’re attention-grabbing, party-ready, future-cool jeans—later this year when you’re celebrating BTTF [Back to the Future] Day on October 21st you’ll be able to party in style like it’s 2015!”
The campaign has so far raised more than $4,700 of its $9,855 goal. All funds will go toward helping Outties manufacture the pants.
