It’s been nearly six months since we witnessed the fallout from Thanos fulfilling his dream of wiping out half the universe in Avengers: Infinity War. Now a 16-bit recreation of the film’s climax confirms that it’s just as gut-wrenching as we remember.

Mr Sunday Movies’ latest animated video brings us straight to the brink: Thanos, who now has the Time Stone, arrives in Wakanda to steal the Mind Stone from Vision after the Black Order failed to get it for him. He has to face more than a few Avengers in the process, but with five Infinity Stones, it’s just a matter of deciding which stones to use against them. Nothing deters him for long, whether it’s Captain America’s fist or Thor’s Stormbreaker embedded in his chest.

Thanks to the animation, it highlights the final boss battle—and the results are striking. You can only watch in horror as the final cutscene—Thanos’ snap and the ensuing disintegration that may have all been part of Doctor Strange’s plan—plays out.

If you had any doubt that the final fight was that one-sided, Mr Sunday Movies also shows off the 16-bit animation alongside each corresponding clip from Avengers: Infinity War. It only confirms what we already knew: Thanos beat them all to the ground and he hardly even broke a sweat while doing it.
