Call Me By Your Name star Armie Hammer warned Twitter Friday that Marvel Entertainment Chairman Isaac Perlmutter is a major donor of President Donald Trump. The warning comes amidst a boycott of luxury gym Equinox after many found out that the owner is hosting a fundraiser in the Hamptons for Trump’s reelection campaign.

“Hey, while everyone seems to be on this Equinox thing, it might be a good time to mention that one of Trump’s largest financial contributors is the chairman of Marvel Entertainment,” Hammer wrote in a tweet that has been widely shared.

Perlmutter had an executive role in Marvel movies up until 2005, according to BuzzFeed News. Now, as a chairman, he looks over the comics and animations.

So far, Perlmutter has given $360,000 to Trump’s 2020 campaign, according to Esquire. His wife donated the same amount, bringing the billionaire duo’s reelection campaign donation to over one million dollars, according to BuzzFeed News.

The Marvel chairman has caused controversy for the company in the past. In 2015, Vanity Fair reported that Perlmutter allegedly made a remark that all Black people “look the same.” That same year, news organizations reported that he also made the decision to only release a small number of Black Widow toys because Perlmutter believed that “girl” toys wouldn’t sell.

The Perlmutter debate comes after many wealthy and famous people started canceling their memberships to Equinox and publically denouncing the company after news broke that the gym’s owner, billionaire Stephen Ross, was hosting a reelection fundraiser and pricing tickets at $100,000 apiece.
