Alissa Violet is far more than just a YouTuber.
The popular content creator has been working as a model for years, pairing the career with her uploads to YouTube and Instagram. Recently, she even participated in Milan Fashion Week, walking for Philipp Plein. The show officially ended on Feb.24, but Violet is still enjoying her time overseas judging by her social media updates. Rather than be excited about her vacation, however, fans of Violet are concerned. They’ve been warning the 23-year-old model about the coronavirus, which has officially hit the city.
Fears of the coronavirus are everywhere, of course, but the recent spread of the virus in Milan has people concerned. They wasted no time in sharing their concern with Violet, whose extended stay in Milan will keep her theoretically within reach of infection.
Thus far, only a few Italians have died from the virus, but the number of infected keeps rising. On Wednesday, Italian authorities reported 400 cases in the northern area where Milan is nestled.
Northern Italy has been hit harder than most areas, and Violet’s fans want her as far from the danger zone as possible. “Alissa get out of there corona virus just hit Milan,” one commenter wrote.
The chances of Violet contracting the coronavirus are relatively slim, but the Centers for Disease Control has issued a level 2 alert for Italy. With many in Milan keeping behind closed doors, there are far fewer opportunities for the virus to spread.
Due to Violet’s age and health, she would likely be alright even if she contracted the virus. As of now, it is primarily dangerous to elderly people and those with chronic medical conditions. A far bigger risk is that Violet will contract the virus and spread it to others when she returns stateside.
Hopefully, she will listen to her fans and stay as safe as possible.
