Trump Jr. posted the meme late Thursday, which featured a photo of Ocasio-Cortez on top of a photo of his father, President Donald Trump.

Under the soon-to-be representative it said, “why are you so afraid of a socialist economy?” The picture of the president had the caption: “Because Americans want to walk their dogs, not eat them.”

Trump Jr., who posted the meme on Instagram, wrote “It’s funny cuz it’s true!!!”

On Friday afternoon Ocasio-Cortez hit back—and even got a dig in about Trump Jr.’s father.

“I have noticed that Junior here has a habit of posting nonsense about me whenever the Mueller investigation heats up,” she wrote on Twitter. “Please, keep it coming Jr – it’s definitely a ‘very, very large brain’ idea to troll a member of a body that will have subpoena power in a month. Have fun!”

The “very, very large brain” dig appears to be in reference to the president saying earlier this year that China respected his “very, very large brain.”

The clap back was met with applause on Twitter.

Of course, the representative-elect is becoming quite comfortable with pushing back against conservatives, as they have relentlessly attacked her since her surprise win the New York Democratic primary earlier this year.
