Today, during a historic FCC net neutrality decision, Apple decided the time had come to announce what we’ve all been waiting for. Tech blogs have bandied about hypothetical dates, but Thursday Apple sent out invites to a March 9 event to be held at San Francisco’s Yerba Buena Center for the Arts. Yes, it’s time for the Apple Watch.
Apple often provides a hint about the content of its events in the invite itself, and the March 9 announcement is no different. Under a multicolored feathery background featuring its iconic logo in white, Apple’s press invite included the words “Spring forward.” It’s safe to say that we’ll be hearing more about the Apple Watch on that date, and the company is likely to release solid details around pricing, features, and a release date.
