Chipotle is often credited as being one of the first fast-casual dining chains. The Mexican-style restaurant first opened its doors in Denver, Colorado, and has been on an expansion warpath ever since, with a reported 3,187 stores, including some locations outside of the United States.

While many diners visited the chain due to its large portion sizes for competitively priced fare, there have been a number of complaints from folks lambasting the chain for not offering the greatest of values for their food-away-from-home dollar. There are also throngs of social media posts from longtime Chipotle stans calling out the business for making concessions with some of its items, like one TikToker who showed off their quesadilla order that contained no cheese or tortilla: just a hodge-podge of ingredients that they were charged full price for.

Despite the negative blowback, Chipotle’s business has been booming, reporting steady and marked increases over the years. This leaves even more fodder for viral conversations on the brand via TikTok.
