Bill Cosby has been arraigned in Pennsylvania, facing charges of aggravated indecent assault, a first degree felony. Here’s his mugshot.
Cosby has been accused of rape by over 50 women. He allegedly typically gave victims quaaludes to unknowingly sedate them before each assault. In a previously sealed deposition that took place in 2005, Cosby admitted to giving young women the drug so that he could rape them.
Attorney Dolores M. Troiani: “When you got the Quaaludes, was it in your mind that you were going to use these Quaaludes for young women that you wanted to have sex with?”
Cosby: Yes.
Kevin Steele, district attorney-elect in Montgomery County, Pa., said in press briefing that “Reopening the case was not a question.” There was “strong and sufficient” evidence, he said, that Cosby “urged her to take pills that he provided to her and to drink wine, the effect of which rendered her unable to move or respond to his advances and he committed aggravated indecent assault upon her.”
