Among the many delights of today’s Pottermore makeover has been a plethora of never-before-seen artwork concerning all aspects of the Harry Potter series.
The art—featuring characters, the wizarding world, and famous moments from the books themselves—is scattered liberally throughout the site to point readers in different directions and illustrate key sections. Most of the art is courtesy of artist Jim Kay, who did the artwork for the Harry Potter Illustrated Editions. Many of the digital background images seen around the site come from the book Harry Potter: Page to Screen which looks at the making of the world of the film franchise.
Here are some of our favorite selections from the hundreds of gorgeous images on the all-new Pottermore.
There’s plenty more art where this came from. We recommend using the “Explore” tool to type your favorite Potter-related subjects, finding cool stories, then using the navigation tools at the bottom of each page to keep digging further into the site.
