The cake may be a lie, but this amazing Portal weighted storage cube table certainly isn’t.

The table, created by Reddit user FetchBeer, was inspired by the weighted storage cubes that can be found in the video game, and we’re sure it can be used for much more than holding delicious desserts.

FetchBeer shared his project on Reddit and posted multiple photos on Imgur. The images show the table in progress as well as the completed version.

FetchBeer answered questions about the cube’s construction in the Reddit comments and took the time to create a set of plans for it. The plans are quite complex, so be ready for a lot of work if you want to make your own cube table, but they are definitely worth a look even if you don’t intend to use them. They contain lots of little references to the game.

Each page includes the Aperture Laboratories logo at the bottom, along with an address for the Aperture Science computer-aided Enrichment Center. On the first page, there is even a warning that the plans are “not recommended for use with: Aperture Science Material Emancipation Grills or Aperture Science Emergency Intelligence Incinerators.” The detail put into the plans is as impressive as the finished product.
