Leslie Jones is getting into Marvel fandom and it’s awesome

Between her colorful Game of Thrones commentary and her delightful Olympics live-tweeting that got her a ticket to Rio, Leslie Jones’ enthusiasm knows no bounds. And now it looks like she’s adding another fandom under her belt.

She watched Captain America: Civil War Wednesday night now that it was released on Blu-Ray, DVD, and digital. While she appeared to be watching it for the first time, she was completely on board—although she did have some questions.

She’s a particular fan of Black Panther.

Her commentary takes us through some of the movie’s big shocks and blows while criticizing them for fighting. (Seriously, how can anyone fight each other when the White Walkers are coming?) And she definitely has a favorite in which superhero fight she preferred this year.

Jones’s tweets drew the attention of writer Ed Brubaker, who introduced the Winter Soldier in the comics, as he tried to offer some insight into the evolution of Bucky. He couldn’t, however, explain the name choice.

Although we don’t know just yet if Jones’ experience watching Civil War will inspire her to pick up some other superhero movies, she could start reading the comics. And, as we know, she’s getting into comic books.
