Jokes about how long it’s taken Game of Thrones creator George R. R. Martin to finish the latest installment of the Song of Ice and Fire series have always abounded. But the latest take is a hilarious sci-fi look at what could happen when the bearded bard gets desperate.
The parody hails from Austin-based sketch comedy group Humordy, which envisioned what would happen in a new sequel to Michael Keaton‘s lackluster ’90s comedy Multiplicity, in which he plays a family man who becomes the subject of a bizarre cloning experiment. Humordy asks: Who would be the one man on Earth who might benefit from having an extra version of himself around?
The answer, of course, is George R.R. Martin, who could undoubtedly benefit from the addition of a clone to help him write faster.
Or would he?
Enjoy how quickly this wacky premise spirals out of control. And then be grateful that as cloneless as the current GRRM is, he’s still committed to writing as fast as he can.
