Think you’re hyped for season 8 of Game of Thrones?
YouTuber Matthockey28 compiled what can only be described as a fire video hyping the arrival of the seminal fantasy show’s eighth and final season. The masterfully cut and crafted teaser trailer is cobbled together from moments throughout the entirety of the series, starting from the beginning where we first meet Ned Stark and witness the gradual transformation each character undergoes throughout the show’s labyrinthine twists and turns.
With that said, keep in mind that the video is positively rife with spoilers, and you shouldn’t watch it if you plan on starting up the show to watch it all in time for the big debut of season 8, which finally got a release date. Yeah, now it feels more real, doesn’t it? Watch the video below. (Warning: there are spoilers!)
It’s a fantastic way to look back on what’s happened so far and get caught up in just under five minutes, with a fitting score to tie it all together: Greg Dombrowski’s “The Storm.” Since posted to the Game of Thrones subreddit about 24 hours ago, it’s amassed hundreds of replies and thousands of upvotes, with most viewers proclaiming its brilliance and praising the creator for their tireless work.

You’ve gotta hand it to Matthockey28—this video is excellent, surpassing even what we’ve seen from HBO on the promotional front. It’s a great way to get hyped for the coming end to what we’ll always remember as one of the most engaging fantasy series of all time. If you haven’t seen it, our advice is to hurry and get binge-watching, if you want to make it in time for the exciting season 8 debut.
