A woman on TikTok posted a viral video of herself trying to find a $200 item at Walmart that she says is ringing up at 1 cent. Although she could’t find the right item, she urged other customers to check their local stores for similar deals.
The tip comes from the TikTok account @couponwithkayla.fan_0764, which appears to be a fan account that reposts content from another TikToker who posts under the handle, Coupon with Kayla (@couponwithkayla). Kayla is known for sharing coupon and savings hacks, and the creator has over 2.2 million followers.
In the repost from @couponwithkayla.fan_0764, Kayla appears to be filming herself at a Walmart. She says she’s at the store because she is “on a hunt for something that’s usually like $200 and apparently is ringing up for a penny.”
“When I found that out I was stoked,” she adds.
She explains that she isn’t sure if the store still has the physical item in stock at her location, but she wants to check just in case.
“Oh my gosh, so close yet so far away,” the creator says, as she films a gray Baby Trend Tour 2-in-1 Stroller Wagon.
Kayla explains that this is the stroller she is looking for, but in a different color. She says that the stroller in the video is still priced at $185 but adds, “There’s a red and black version that’s a penny.”

Kayla then shows her viewers a screenshot of her Walmart app, which lists the locations where she can find the stroller and, more importantly, locations where the item is discounted.
“It’s not in every store, some stores are still marked at $197, but my store said it’s supposed to be a penny,” she says.
“You win some, you lose some,” Kayla adds, “this one was a loss for me but hopefully y’all will get luckier than me.”
At the end of her video she reminds viewers to use self-checkout when buying the stroller. “It’s not illegal,” she says, “but as soon as the cashier sees that rung up at the front they’re probably gonna give you some issues.”
The video from @couponwithkayla.fan_0764 has received over 560,000 views and 12,000 likes as of this publication. A number of viewers shared their thoughts in the comments.
One shared their own experience of trying to buy a discounted item at Walmart, saying, “I found a children’s book and a hat that was supposed to be one penny but when I scanned it it said invalid barcode. The worker came over and refused to sell it to me.”
Another person claimed, “Penny items at Walmart are display units, but you can find 3 cent items! I have found a ton of 3 cent items and have been able to purchase them.”
However, a number of commenters noted that if this deal existed at all, it had already expired since the account had reposted one of Kayla’s older videos.
“This is OLD!!! Video was posted back in April!! Read the caption,” cautioned one viewer.
“This is not her!!! This was posted months ago, her real account is @Coupon with Kayla,” wrote another.
