In the retail industry, customers are known to say some absolutely unhinged things to store workers.
From peddling conspiracy theories to trying to recruit for a multi-level marketing scheme, customers have crossed boundary after boundary held by retail workers, who frequently take to TikTok to tell viewers every single detail of their odd exchanges and then some.
One worker says she had an exchange with a customer that turned into a full-on insult when the woman asked if she had ever considered Ozempic, a diabetes medication that’s made headlines for its weight loss effects.
“Today this customer came in with a bunch of shopping bags on the verge of tears looking like she just needed anyone to ask her if she was ok,” user Lo (@lohojpg) says in the video. “Luckily for her, I was having a good day. I was ready to listen, all ears. Let’s get into this retail therapy. She ends up telling me that her husband had an affair with her half-sister’s mother, and they’re having a baby.”
The customer told Lo that she decided she needed to change everything about herself and become a new person after this event in her life, and Lo said she was more than happy to help the customer find whatever she needed.
She says the customer was nice, and they ended up talking for over 30 minutes. But then she got a little too comfortable.
“She looks me up and down, and she asks me, ‘Can I ask you something a little invasive?’” she says. “I’m like, we’re all friends here. I’m an oversharer, what’s up?”
Then the customer asked Lo the question.
‘Have you ever tried Ozempic?’ Why would she ask me that?” Lo says. “I’m like, ‘No, I’m not interested. Have you tried Ozempic?’ She’s looking in the mirror and she’s like, ”I don’t really think I need it but it’ll probably really help you out if you’re interested.’”
Lo then pointed out that the customer had no room to talk, considering the drama in her life.
“Is this b*tch a movie villain? She’s really worried about the wrong belly when her future niece-phew and her kids are going to be calling people auntie mommy and uncle daddy,” Lo jokes before concluding the video.
The Daily Dot has reached out to Lo via email regarding the video.

Many viewers could not believe the woman had the gumption to ask a stranger if they were thinking about trying a weight loss medication.
“Whaaaatttt. she used you from a therapist to a stepping stone to try and bring herself back up,” one commenter wrote. “also, I too am an oversharer!”
“I thought u were gonna say she tried to sell u something at the end cause that always blows when u thought they just liked u,” another said. “But THAT. omg. Ur right though she definitely has her own issues going on right now.”
“The way I would have said, ohhhh it all makes so much sense now,” a third added. “tell your husband I understand the distaste.”
