What is Disney Junior?
Disney Junior has its origins in the Playhouse Disney block on the Disney Channel, which is its answer to Nick Jr. on Nickelodeon. On weekday mornings, Disney channel would play programming aimed at toddlers and young children like Bear in the Big Blue House and Higglytown Heroes. In 2011, the programming block was rebranded as Disney Junior. The following year, the block became a full-fledged channel.
