With all due respect to movies, the superhero genre reaches new heights when it’s made into a TV series. This goes double for Big Hero 6: The Series.

The same lovable characters from the celebrated feature film are back. Hiro Hamada, his fluffy robot Baymax and their friends Go Go Tomago, Honey Lemon, Wasabi, and Fred haven’t disbanded the team, and are keeping the city of San Fransyoko safe from the forces of evil, which includes everything from megalomaniacal 11-year-olds to sociopathic game show hosts. It’s got all the action and laughs of the feature film with twice the heart.

Here’s everything you need to know to stream Big Hero 6: The Series.

Big Hero 6: The Series Reviews

What the critics are saying

  • “Even so, families that used the Big Hero 6 story to talk about issues dealing with loss and grief can continue to follow those themes as Hiro’s experiences change and as he moves on from Tadashi’s death. As time passes, he and his friends are increasingly inspired by Tadashi rather than in mourning for him, though Baymax can still be counted on to call out emotions when they run high. But there’s more laughter and fewer moments of reflection as their story evolves into one of Hiro’s future rather than his past.” –Emily Ashby, Common Sense Media
  • Big Hero 6 The Series has the potential to be Disney’s best movie to TV series yet and that says something coming off true classics like the Aladdin and Hercules animated series…If you were a fan of the movie you’ll feel right at home here. –Shamus Kelly, Den of Geek
