Last week, the Internet collectively felt the need to call their grandparents, after a young woman named Kelsey Harmon posted a photo of her “papaw” eating a lonely hamburger dinner.

Then came the update that newly memed papaw is actually fine. Another grandkid showed up! Inexplicably, this story now has a another twist.
Kelsey’s cousin, Brock, the other grandkid who showed up, tweeted on Friday that papaw is going to have a cookout next weekend and “everyone” is invited.

Brock told KVUE that the cookout was papaw’s idea. In addition to charging for burgers, they will reportedly also be selling T-shirts for $20-$25 a pop. Proceeds, according to Brock, will go towards college tuition for Kelsey and Brock and future college tuition for the other grandkids who were too busy to show up and eat a damn burger with their papaw, as well as some to-be-determined charities. Since this is the Internet, fake papaw merch has allegedly already been circulating.
Guys please do not buy any merchandise from this website. The real product will not be sold until next Saturday!!!! pic.twitter.com/lCubbT6MgW

If giving money to strangers from the Internet and meeting a meme is your thing, you apparently have plans next weekend. Hopefully people show up.
