Innovative Aussie dad Will Reid has got a new way to show his kids how he can best avoid growing up like barnyard animals. His first mission is to fix the TP blues.
Reid’s kids have a problem: They don’t ever change over the toilet paper. It’s not specific to them—there are 26-year-olds still afflicted by this issue—but it’s annoying to him. Telling them to change won’t fix anything; he’s got to show them how to do it. Since the only way to show kids something these days is to direct them to a YouTube tutorial, Reid was left with no other option. He opened up his Teenage Instructional Video series to change the way James and Beth now treat the bathroom.
“This is the toilet roll holder,” Reid declares blunt as he stares into the camera. “As you can see, it has the empty one already on there. The first thing you have to do is remove this empty one—like this—and then take the toilet roll and place it on there like that.”
“Now that’s really all there is to it.”
Reid’s video went onto YouTube on Friday and has already been seen more than 1 million times. He adds that the advanced level—wherein you take the used toilet roll and throw it in the trash—might be “just a step too far” for his kids, but may be coming soon.
