Any college kid worth their weight in ramen knows the three minutes it takes to cook up Cup Noodles can feel interminable. That’s why Nissin Foods, the makers of the delightful noodle dish, created a way for you to pass the time by going on a virtual date with this guy.

If you click on Nissin Foods’ promotional link, you’ll be greeted by Japanese actor and mega-hunk Takumi Saitoh in a jumpsuit sitting at a table in an unidentified field for some reason.

Mostly, Saitoh just sits there looking at you seductively, making you feel like a nat-u-ral woman. But according to First We Feast, which translated the ramen date, occasionally Saitoh says things like, “Let’s wait for your noodles together” or “You’re hungry, huh? Hang in there, it’s only 3 minutes!”

Once the three minutes are up, the fun doesn’t stop. Saitoh will continue gazing at you while you get your soup on, saying things like “I wish I had some noodles,” or “It makes me happy to watch you eat those delicious noodles.”

Creepy? Sure. But do you have anything better to do while your dollar noodles simmer?
