Celebrities—they’re just like us! They also buy food items at grocery stores (while looking amazing), and they also take out their garbage (while looking amazing), and they also drink half a bottle of wine on a Wednesday night and cruise Tinder (while looking amazing).
Tinder has become synonymous with online dating and we normals aren’t the only ones who love to get our swipe on. In fact, famous types are so taken with the app that Tinder will soon introduce verified badges. This is so you know you’re actually swiping Channing Tatum and not getting catfished. (Just kidding, Tatum is married. Don’t go hunting him down on Tinder.)
But apparently, Tinder is being a little stingy with these verified badges.
Ed Sheeran, the red-headed, one-man version of Dashboard Confessional and much-publicized friend of Taylor Swift, did not make the cut. After Sheeran said that he didn’t want a badge because he finds it “creepy” and that it seems like “you’re just using your celebrity status to hook up with chicks,” Tinder was all like:
We are only verifying 25 top celebrities to start.
Sick burn, bro. Also, 25 top celebrities… on Tinder? In the world? Who have brown hair? With tigers in their profile pictures? The jury’s still out, but because celebrities have been so forthcoming about their Tinder use (or because people have outed them), here’s a fairly lengthy list of who could potentially make the top 25:
Katy Perry
Lily Allen (who is married, with children)
Just discovered tinder. *Waves goodbye to life*

Louise Thompson
Lindsay Lohan

Ashton Kutcher (who is engaged and expecting a child… so perhaps he’s a former user.)
Mindy Kaling (sort of?)
Niall Horan (maybe)
Chris Pine (another maybe)
Greivis Vasquez, a basketball player
May the odds be ever in your favor.
