Donald Trump Jr. has been liking tweets that allege the suspicious packages sent to several Democratic politicans are part of a conspiracy.

Donald Trump Jr., the son of President Donald Trump, has liked several tweets that allege the slew of suspicious packages sent to prominent Democrats and a news organization were mailed to drum up support for liberal candidates ahead of next month’s midterm elections.

The idea that the packages—which some were deemed to contain “potential explosive devices“—were sent as part of a “false flag” or similar stunt was brought up almost immediately after they were first discovered.

The packages, many of which were sent earlier this week, were addressed to former President Barack Obama, former Vice President Joe Biden, Bill and Hillary Clinton, Rep. Maxine Waters (D-Calif.), actor Robert DeNiro, Eric Holder, billionaire liberal donor George Soros, CNN’s office in New York, and Sen. Cory Booker (D-N.J.), according to a new report from MSNBC.

Since then, the idea that the packages were part of a plot by Democrats has picked up steam—even making its way to Fox News.

Authorities have not announced any motive for sending the packages, and have not named any suspects.

However, as HuffPost points out, the idea of a “false flag” or similar operation appears to appeal to Trump Jr.

Over the past few days, the president’s son has liked several tweets that hint at—or flat out allege—the bombs were sent by Democrats.

In a statement to HuffPost, Trump Jr.’s spokesperson downplayed the significance of his likes on Twitter.

“It’s common knowledge that on Twitter, ‘liking’ a tweet doesn’t automatically equal an endorsement of a tweet,” the spokesman told the news outlet. “And unlike the establishment media which jumped to blame the president for these mailings without any actual evidence, Don is withholding judgment and not speculating on the matter until we hear more concrete evidence from those investigating it.”
