Over the weekend, people were puzzled by startling posts apparently authored by Paypal and Bill Keller, former executive editor of the New York Times and noted Julian Assange opponent. The Paypal post drew comparisons between WikiLeaks and the Times, a WikiLeaks publishing partner, and strongly opposed financial penalties for publishing the leaks. The Keller article, which was note-perfect, was critical of the Times’ own WikiLeaks coverage. At some point, someone clued in Bill Keller, who reacted with ALL CAP intensity. We Storified the fallout.
