A video shows a fight that ensued between an elderly man and a Karen after the woman attempted to save a seat for her pet hamster on a crowded train in Taiwan.

The incident took place on a Taiwan Railways Administration train in New Taipei City on Sept. 5.

The video begins with the man and woman going back and forth with one another as the man points in her face, expressing frustration about the hamster’s box taking up a priority seat when there is minimal standing room within the train. The seats are reserved for handicapped, pregnant, and elderly riders, according to TRA.

“Did your pet buy a ticket?” he asks, according to a translation from Taiwan News.

From there, the argument continues to escalate as the woman calls the man “crazy” and tells him to “stop meddling.” After further accusing the woman of blatantly insulting him, he reaches for the hamster’s box out of frustration, at which point the woman begins to swing at him several times.

It was not long before other passengers began shouting and stepping in to diffuse the situation, as one man broke up both of the passengers. According to reports, the woman left the train in tears, and security was called by the man to address the scuffle.

TRA regulations allow passengers to carry small pets in a cage, however, they must be stowed away underneath seats for the duration of the ride, according to NextShark.
