Buffalo, N.Y., has been enduring a nearly biblical snowstorm over the last week, and it’s provided some amazing photos, as well as some unfortunate tour delays and creative interpretation.
One of the more incredible byproducts of this storm is thundersnow, which sounds like a lost prog-rock band from the ’70s, but is actually just a fairly rare combination of snowstorm, thunder, and lightning.
The phenomenon was captured on a GoPro in south Buffalo, and it’s actually kind of beautiful.
You know, if you’re not one of the people trapped under blankets of snow with members of Interpol.
