The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles captured people’s attention so much that excellent collectibles are being made to this day. (And no, we’re not talking about the reboot.)

We got a chance to play with the brand new TMNT line from Bandai’s S.H. Figuarts collection, which is known for award-winning quality and attention to detail. After getting our hands on these figures, we have to admit it’s easy to see how the brand has earned that reputation.

Kids who grew up on Saturday morning television in the ’80s and ’90s will recognize these turtles with a pang of nostalgia, as they’re based on the cartoon version.

The figures are really impressive, right out of the box. They’re sturdy, and quite heavier than most action figures.

Each turtle comes with two heads and a variety of hands to hold different items (read: weapons or pizza). They also come loaded with extra accessories to make the play experience more customizable.

At a price point of $48-$63, these figures are definitely aimed at the adult collector rather than the child fan. But considering that the turtles have been around for 32 years now, we’re guessing there are a lot of people out there who will want these, and after seeing them up close we’d have to say it’s worth the price!
