Young Twitter users probably should have been studying, but instead they were expressing their fears and anger about having to take the PSAT this week.
Administered by the College Board and the National Merit Scholarship Corporation, the PSAT, aka the Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test, is a standardized test that prepares High School students for the SAT later in the school year.
The exam, which takes place on Wednesday morning, tests students on their math, reading and writing skills. For those reading Twitter on Tuesday afternoon, it appeared many of the students should have been hitting the books instead. Most seemed panicked and discussed their lack of readiness and enthusiasm for the test.
And some Twitter users were surprised that so many high schoolers seem to be on Twitter.
