A New Jersey woman has admitted to drugging and forcing a 17-year-old girl into prostitution after hiring her to babysit.
Adria Regn and her 19-year-old boyfriend Christopher White were arrested in May for the crime, which authorities say started by convincing the teen to come to a Burlington County motel to watch over her two children. As soon as she arrived, the couple allegedly drugged her with methamphetamine and held her for 10 days, making her have sex with as many as five men a day. The couple then reportedly moved her from motel to motel, advertising her as an escort and forcing her to pose for online sex advertisements.
Eventually, the girl fled while Regn and her boyfriend were asleep, according to NJ.com. Regn has since pleaded guilty to second-degree conspiracy to facilitate human trafficking charges, and the state recommends five years in prison for the crime. White has not yet been charged, but he’s expected in court next week.
Regn will be sentenced on Jan. 5.
