Mark Wahlberg is donating his $1.5 million reshoot fee for All the Money in the World after receiving harsh criticism for taking such a large sum, while his costar Michelle Williams received less than 1 percent of that for her reshoot work.
According to a tweet from USA Today entertainment editor Andrea Mandell, Wahlberg will donate the money in his co-star’s name to the legal defense fund of Time’s Up, the Hollywood-led anti-sexual harassment initiative.
“Over the last few days my reshoot fee for All the Money in the World has become an important topic of conversation. I 100 percent support the fight for fair pay and I’m donating the $1.5M to the Time’s Up Legal Defense Fund in Michelle Williams’ name.”

Wahlberg had originally come under fire by critics and colleagues after HuffPost reported that he’d been paid $1.5 million to do All the Money in the World reshoots after Christopher Plummer replaced Kevin Spacey, who was dropped from the film after more than a dozen men came forward saying that Spacey sexually harassed or abused them. Meanwhile, Williams vocally opted to give up her pay and holiday to reshoot the scenes, taking instead an $80 per diem which totaled to less than $1,000 after the reshooting ended.
Later reports found that Wahlberg had a stipulation in his contract that said he wouldn’t approve the role’s recasting with Plummer if he wasn’t paid the $1.5 million. Wahlberg and Williams are represented by the same agency.
