So far the news out of Quebec, where enormous gatherings of students have protested planned tuition hikes, has been pretty ugly.

Last weekend Anonymous mounted an attack against government websites in response to harsh new anti-protest laws, and Wednesday night alone, almost 700 protesters were arrested in Montreal and Quebec City.

The protesters’ primary concern may be to change Quebecois university-funding policy. But if they can find love while they’re at it, that’s two birds with one stone.

That’s the apparent rationale behind @ManifDating, a new Twitter account whose subheading reminds followers that “Love Might Be At A Protest Near You. || L’amour risque d’être a une manifestation prés de chez vous.”
