Pride month may be winding down but that doesn’t mean festivities have gone away. Parades around the world are commemorating LGBT rights, including massive festivities in London.
England’s capital city may have earned its first viral pride parade moment on Saturday, when a Met officer surprised his partner by dashing away from his fellow officers and proposing to his partner, Jonathan Sammons.
ITV captured the joyous moment, which Sammons certainly wasn’t expecting.

“Speechless! Amazing! Oh my God, I can’t believe he did it,” Simmons told ITV. Shortly after Simmons said yes, the Met’s LGBT Twitter account tweeted out yet another engagement in progress.
